Santiago Asensi, founder and managing partner of Asensi Abogados used the stage at the SBC Summit Barcelona 2023 to announce a big new step for the law firm. Speaking at a session entitled ‘Ceuta, a place to establish technological projects’, Asensi, told the audience that the firm will be opening an office in Ceuta demonstrating its commitment to the gaming and technology companies establishing in the autonomous city.
He revealed that: “I would never have imagined that Ceuta would generate such enormous interest among companies in the sector in such a short period of time”. He said this showed that Ceuta’s strategy to attract companies is working. “Ceuta’s Administration has turned a desire to welcome the industry into a reality by doing everything possible to address the needs that arise, and this makes the difference”.
Asensi also highlighted that in addition to gaming operators, many service companies and technology providers are also moving to Ceuta in order to enjoy the advantages it offers. The plan is for Asensi Abogados Ceuta to be operational by January 1, 2024, something welcomed by the local Minister of Finance, Economic Transition and Digital Transformation, Kissy Chandiramani: “This is very good news”, she said, “because this shows that the sector is establishing itself [in Ceuta].”
